Why use an agency to manage your Google AdWords campaign?

Google Partners AgencyUsing Google AdWords allows you to reach new customers online for a more successful website. An effective AdWords campaign can make your online business exponentially more successful and profitable.

How can an agency help you manage your Google AdWords campaign?

As simple as it may seem, running a successful campaign with Google AdWords takes a significant amount of time and effort. Hiring an agency to manage your Google Adwords campaign can optimize your results and save you valuable time and money. The right web marketing agency can help you get the most out of your advertising with Google.

Effectiveness and Profitability

A certified Google Partner agency will have invaluable AdWords knowledge. AdWords is a fairly complex advertising system; it takes an expert to really make the most of it. An agency who specializes in the system will be able to help you optimize your results. By outsourcing your AdWords campaign, you put your advertising in the hands of a professional who is specifically trained to maximize your profit and reduce your cost per acquisition, or CPA.

Save Time

Effectively managing an AdWords campaign requires a significant amount of time and effort. The initial setup requires researching keywords, writing adverts, and finalizing your campaign settings. But your campaign doesn’t stop there. Even after your setup is completed, you will need consistent monitoring and management to keep your campaign effective over time.

An agency like The Three Marketers will take care of this for you. From tracking the effectiveness of keywords to which times and days are most profitable for conversions, monitoring a campaign is an almost non-stop endeavor. An agency takes all of this off of your plate so you can focus on your business.

Prevent Wasted Income

A huge number of companies unknowingly waste significant amounts of advertising money. Not knowing the ins and outs of AdWords leaves you vulnerable to an ineffective and expensive campaign. An agency who is knowledgeable about AdWords can ensure that you are getting the most out of every single keyword you use. Since you are paying for every word in an AdWords campaign, it is essential that each word counts.

Stay on Top of AdWords Updates and Features

Google is always looking for ways to improve their AdWords system. When a major change rolls out, the best way to stay ahead of the curve is to work with a Google-certified agency like The Three Marketers. If you aren’t fully aware of the changes made to AdWords and how to best take advantage of them, your advertising can’t reach its full potential.

At the end of the day, advertising is there to help make your company money. Working with the right AdWords agency can exponentially increase your profits, save you valuable time and money, and keep you on the cutting edge of advertising.

Request a Verified Badge for your Business on Facebook

Facebook verified badge

With more than one billion of active users, Facebook is the most popular social media platform in world. Businesses can create their business page to share information, news, pictures, videos and engage their audience.

With the multiplication of pages and profiles, Facebook has introduced a new badge called “verified” to help users know that they are authentic.

What is Facebook verified page?

If you see a blue badge Facebook blue badge on a Page or profile, it means that Facebook confirmed that this is the authentic Page or profile for this public figure, media company or brand. If you see a gray badge facebook grey badge on a Page, it means that Facebook confirmed that this is an authentic Page for this business or organization.

How do I verify my Page?

If you’re an admin and your Page is eligible, you’ll see this option in your Page’s Settings. To verify your Page, you can use your business’ publicly listed phone number or a business document (ex: phone bill).

To verify your Page:

  1. Click Settings at the top of your Page
  2. From General, click Page Verification
  3. Click Verify this Page, then click Get Started
  4. Enter a publicly listed phone number for your business, your country and language
  5. Click Call Me Now to allow Facebook to call you with a verification code
  6. Enter the 4-digit verification code and click Continue

If you prefer to verify your Page with a business document, follow the steps above and click Verify this Page with documents instead at the bottom left of the window that appears, then upload a picture of an official document showing your business’ name and address.

After receiving your verification code or business document, Facebook will review your info and send you a notification or email about your verification status within a few days. You should then see a nice verified checkmark next to the business name.

Google is no longer showing AdWords ads on the right hand side

Google is no longer showing AdWords ads on the right hand side

Google confirms that they are no longer showing AdWords ads on the right hand side of its search results. Instead, Google now displays 4 ads at the top of the search results and 3 ads at the bottom.

Where is Google headed?

Google has made an important step toward mobile-first design. Mobile devices do not display the right-hand column; Google seems to be implementing the same structure across devices.

Side ads have very low user interaction rates and drive mostly impressions, rather than clicks. By adding another high-performing top ad on relevant queries and removing the low-performing side ads, Google is increasing the overall effectiveness of the ad placements on the search results page.

What should Adwords advertisers expect?

At this point, we believe this will affect advertising on Adwords. By restraining the amount of ads from 11 to 7, this change will trigger more competition for the four top slots and result in higher Cost-Per-Clicks. Advertisers may have to increase their Google Adwords budget to maintain their online visibility.

This change will also impact organic search results as listings will continue to get pushed down the page. However, as the cost of advertising on Google increases, Search Engine Optimization will become increasingly valuable.

Are you prepared?

Online Marketing is an ever-changing industry and business owners will need the help of a professional agency to keep up with the changes. If you are a business owner and have questions about how this change could affect your website, contact us.

Advertising in a Bad Economy can Boost Your Business

Why Advertising in a Bad Economy can Boost Your Business

“A man who stops advertising to save money is like a man who stops a clock to save time” – Henry Ford

It’s natural to want to cut spending during a recession, but doing so does not always have the best results for your business. Advertising when times are hard can actually be a good way to improve your profits and expand your margins.

It’s Cheaper

You can often get a better deal on your marketing campaigns during a recession than during a boom. Many people will be cutting their advertising budgets, but this is actually the time to spend more to attract customers. Some media might offer lower prices and special bargains to help seal the deal.

You can Target the Advertising

People spend their money differently during recessions than they do during booms, but they still spend it, and your marketing can help to make sure that they spend it at your business. Your marketing efforts might even be more successful than usual if you take the time to tailor them to the local economic situation. Emphasize the bargains that you can offer, and that you can help people save money on things that they already want. Put the focus on the value that your products offer. Make sure that your customers know that you understand their situation.

You Still Need It

Businesses need marketing to attract new customers and turn a profit. That does not change when the economy gets worse. It’s a fundamental truth of the market that no business can make sales to people who don’t know that the business exists. Advertisements are the best way to bring in potential customers, and that is always the first step towards making a sale. Getting rid of your advertising campaigns means getting rid of all of those potential sales, and over time that will cost far more than the advertisements ever did.

You can Stand Out

Some people will decide to cut back on advertising to save money despite all of the benefits that it offers. That makes advertising even more useful for the people who make use of it, because their advertisements will not have to compete with those of rival businesses. It’s hard to stand out and be memorable when dozens of businesses are competing for people’s attention, but it becomes much easier when only one or two are making themselves known. There will never be a time with less marketing competition than during a recession, and businesses that take advantage of that can reap significant rewards.

Advertisements are cheaper and more effective during a recession than during other times. Taking advantage of that value can be a great way for businesses to grow their business even when profits are shrinking for their competitors, and no business owner should cut their marketing budget without careful thought.

The Social Summit took place November 26-27 in Calgary. It was a great opportunity to hear insights from brands such as Travel Alberta, WestJet, the Calgary Flames that have turn social media channels into success-generating machines.

Here are some insights we wanted to share with you:

  • Set objectives. Be clear to what you are trying to achieve on social media (increase exposure, develop loyal fans, increase engagement, improve sales).
  • Listen to your audience; get to know your fans. Why a post works better than others? Above 1% engagement rate is good.
  • Post authentic, honest content. People enjoy behind-the-scenes stories. For example, if you sell cookies, people want to know how they are prepared. Take inside pictures and videos, post interesting and compelling stories.
  • Be accessible and available for your fans, respond to comments/messages. If you receive any negative comments, stay true to your voice.
  • Share inspiring content. Post touching, moving and amusing real life experiences.
  • Test different strategies, creative, text. Make your posts point to a relevant landing page on your site.
  • Tweak your social media to appeal to mobile users. Users are spending more time accessing social media from mobile devices compared to desktop computers.
  • Use influencers to promote your products or services. “63% of millennials say they will try something recommended by a You Tuber”.
  • Use social media management tools such as hootsuite, buffer, commun.it
  • Track goals and measure results with Google Analytics, Twitter Analytics, Facebook Insights

Keep in mind that what works for someone else doesn’t necessarily work for you.

It takes time and dedication to establish your voice, generate engagement and convert social media users into leads and sales. Contact us if you need help with your social media strategy.
